Hijacking a Whistleblower’s Legacy

This is a story how tens of thousands of Indians all over the world responded to the outrageous murder of Satyendra Dubey in Nov ‘03 but the outpouring of their goodwill was hijacked into a tightly owned non-profit entity; an entity that collected money, hoarding it for months or years without accountability and routinely launches vicious personal attacks to quash every request for accountability.

As of May 17th, 2006, the hapless family members of martyr Dubey are in immense pain that Satyendra’s legacy has been misappropriated by the foundation that bears his name but runs on the whims of one person. Satyendra’s younger brother has made a dignified request on behalf of the family that the foundation and the website in the name of their departed kin be dissolved.

Ashutosh Aman, an Indian citizen now doing MBA in London, owns the SK Dubey Foundation as the sole director and operates almost alone for personal glory. True to character, Mr. Aman recently launched a vicious attack that all who ask for dissolution of the US-based foundation are on the payroll of the corrupt mafia that killed Satyendra Dubey!!

Ashutosh Aman and S K Dubey Foundation, Inc., now one and the same thing, have betrayed the very principle of accountability and transparency for which Satyendra Dubey gave his life.

We urge the thousands of Satyendra Dubey sympathizers to come forward and express their opinion so the simple wish of a bereaved family, that third parties may not misappropriate Satyendra’s name, is fulfilled!

I am really surprized to know that there has been no accountibility by Ashuthosh Aman! I had donated $500 towards this fund and really feel bad that money might have been lost and did not reach its intendent receipients !
